“I appreciate the video’s earnest search for the Biblical understanding
of atonement. However, there is so much that is theologically wrong in
this video. I’ll reply later with an extended response. In short, I
would completely refute his basic premise, for penal substitutionary
atonement (psa) is essential to the Christian faith. His reason for
why Jesus died on the cross was to reveal God’s love and to provide a
moral example for his followers. He is not saying anything new but
digging up Abelard’s theory from the 11th century. This was an old
debate between Abelard and Anselm. This has also resurfaced in recent
attacks that accuses God of divine child abuse and etc. It has a high
view of man’s ability, a low view of sin, and a low view of God’s
sovereignty.

i come back to usc after a nice spring break and the house smells like crap.. how is it that when all 5 of us live here that it smells pretty nice but once most of us leave it smells so bad??? am i just used to this crappy smell when i am here??? what is this nonsense.. it smells so dang bad here like poop and rotten donuts and old cheese.. and we even have an air freshener.. whatisupwiththisddong..
